Wedding Catering Dorset and the South West
The say food is where the heart is and whether you are a really foodie (like me- LOVE eating!) or not, you can't deny that food brings the opportunity for people to get together, put their phones away, have a good natter. Like Oscar Wilde supposedly said, "After a good dinner one can forgive anybody, even one's own relatives" which you can't deny is quite apt for weddings.
So here is a little blog on some my favourite wedding caterers across Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.
Brown Goose Catering- Dorchester
I met the lovely Rob of Brown Goose Catering at the delightful Upwey House, Weymouth. Using the kitchen on site Rob prepared and cooked 3 exquisite course. What struck me about Rob though is just how lovely he is. So down to earth and made me feel so welcome in his space, and not to mention the outstanding food he create and served to the hungry wedding guest. I would highly recommend Brown Goose Catering for dinner parties, wedding breakfasts, BBQs
Hannah's Kitchen- Weymouth
I have seen so many recommendations for Hannah's Kitchen who does the most incredible charcuterie table spreads you will ever see!! So when I was told her yummy food was going to be at a wedding I was very excited! My word, those brownies!! There was so much food that there was more than enough to go around, and the lovely staff also plated up a box for me to take home too!

Dike & Son's - Sturminster
I met the lovely lads of Dike and Son's at the Big Wedding Fair in Sturminster, they were giving out little cone canapes of strawberry's and pretzels opposite my stand and I was drooling all day! Thankfully, our paths crossed at a wedding in Shillingstone House where they laid on a scummy spread of salads, breads, pizza's, mini burgers and hot dogs, as well as supplying the bar for the day. Again, these guys are lovely, so genuine, warm and friendly which is just what you need when they are dishing up your grub on your day.
Papavero Pizza- Taunton
Oh my word what a Pizza van this is!! I was introduced to Papavero at the Waterside Country Barn and Mill near Taunton and was slightly apprehensive about their pumpkin puree, blue cheese pizza...... Honestly, I have never tasted a pizza so delicious in my life (I even went to one of the worlds best Pizza restaurants and Papavero topped it!!!
CLockSpire Milborne Port
If you are after a culinary delight then the Clockspire is for you. This stunning venue is not necessarily a wedding venue but is happy to cater weddings in its impressive modern interior with high wooden beams, with striking approach is 'ingredient led with an emphasis on flavour, harmony and balance' (taken from their webpage!). It really was a meal with sophistication, flavour and pazazz.
