They grow up TOO quickly!
I remember when my youngest was this tiny little baby. At only 6lbs 13 odd ounces he curled up in my arms so snuggly. Now he is 7, and getting taller by the second! I seemed to think I had all the time in the world but it whizzes by so quickly and I love looking back at all the photos I have of him. However, one regret I do have is not having photos of him with myself, or all of us together. This is one of the reason why I adore doing family shoots; to capture those precious memories for you to look back on and reminisce in years to come.

But Kelly, I hear you cry, how do you get children to 'perform' for the camera.. well magic.
Well not quite. I actually have a First Class Degree in Early Childhood Studies and have been working within the Early Years Sector for over 2o years! I am neurodivergent friendly and as you will find out within my blog on Documentary Photography and SEND, every photoshoot I organised for my daughter failed, as photographers assumed she would sit quietly and smile at the camera- oh how wrong they were. And, how we both cried leaving each session.
So, what makes this so different. To start I will not rush you or your child/children. If we need to have a hot chocolate first to get to know each other - absolutely fine with me! Firstly, I generally let the children play and give you time to interact with each other as you would do on a normal trip out. When I feel everyone is more relaxed I may give prompts to get more movement or interaction, but these are usually play based and FUN. Equally, if you want the session to be 100% documentary style I can do this too.
What do you get?
Once booked in, I send a family guide book which can help you choose your outfits and to clarify how the session works. Sessions typically last between 1hr-1hour 30 minutes, but this is generally flexible and I will work with your family to ensure you feel comfortable before I even get the camera out.
You get all of the best photos hand edited and delivered via a password protected online gallery. You have print and share release meaning you get to download them ALL and print and share as you wish. No upselling, hidden costs, no tears! Travel within 40 miles of Weymouth is included. Typically, photographs are delivered within 4 weeks, however this maybe longer during peak wedding season.
