I have always loved to capture memories through the lens and I get such joy being a part of a special moment, a connection, with you.
I hear time and time again 'but Kelly I hate being in front of the camera!' So this is why the documentary and candid style may work for you!
I do not pose you! I capture moments in real time and use prompts to illicit actions and emotion you be having fun, laughing, crying, hugging, running, most importantly you will be you!

My journey...
So how did I become a candid wedding photographer in Weymouth? I have always had a complete love for photographs. From looking through my grandad's old photos, to collecting the little Truprint film packages from motorway stops to send off my film- may have just showed my age a bit there. However, in 2017 I married my husband and we really struggled to find a photographer/style we liked. My daughter is autistic and ADHD and being posed would not suit her (or me!). We needed a really low demand approach and I really just wanted to enjoy my day without constant direction and interruptions.
Using my background in family support and SEND I started to offer inclusive neurodivergent friendly documentary family photography, and I dabbled in a few weddings which I absolutely loved. It was so refreshing to be a part of such a joyous moment and I came away buzzing and knew that I wanted my business to head this way! Unfortunately, not long after COVID hit, and everything stopped, my anxiety increased. I was worried that because I was not posing people I wasn't a 'real' wedding photographer and I didn't want to let people down- silly huh!
During this little break I was asked by one of my regular families to take their photographs, and whilst it is not my place to share their story, I really understood the value of photographs and I just needed to take photos again. So in January 2024, I opened my books to weddings once again. I thought, well if no-one likes documentary style, then they won't book me. However, my little business has been so successful as more and more couples just wanted to enjoy their day but still have everlasting memories.
I am really excited for what the future holds for my photography business and I really hope that you would like to be a part of it too.

Kelly photographed our wedding and she did such an amazing job.
